Two male dogs, a smooth-coated Border Collie and a tawny mixed breed, face off. The mixed breed exhibits genital olfactory exploration; the Border Collie moves away at a run. The mixed breed chases him and bites him on the hip. The Border Collie re-orients in a frontal stance and rears up. The mixed breed moves away, followed by the Border Collie who exhibits perianal olfactory exploration, then overtakes the mixed breed at a run.

The two dogs are close to the Hovawart's owner. The Malinois interposes himself between the puppy and his owner, exhibiting standing tall and a defensive posture with a 'stone face'. The puppy wags his tail, then tries to move away to leave the interaction. When the Malinois exhibits a chest press, the Hovawart swerves to the side, then re-orients in a frontal stance and punches the Malinois with his jaw. The Malinois rears up in front of the Malinois, who swerves to the side, moves away and leaves the interaction.
