Knocking down
The dog runs toward his opponent and slams into it with his chest and shoulder and sometimes with his hips, or leaps onto it with his entire body, knocking it to the ground as it runs. The victim is most often a puppy or adolescent; in competitive games this behaviour may also be displayed toward adults.

In this interaction between two males, the Alaskan Malamute cross chases the Labrador Retriever. The Malamute cross runs alongside the Labrador and attempts to knock him down, displaying an inhibited bite to the back. Attempting to defend himself, the Labrador turns his head toward the Malamute cross and falls, then gets up and leaps forward with front legs wide open; when the Malamute cross tries to cut across his path, the Labrador swerves sideways. The Malamute cross knocks down the Labrador, and displays an open mouth. The Labrador gets up and stops; the Malamute approaches frontally, standing tall.
