In this interaction between two males, the Australian Shepherd and the Border Collie approach each other frontally. The Australian Shepherd stops in a lateral stance, and the Border Collie shifts to T1 position, then exhibits olfactory exploration of the Australian Shepherd's anus/genitals. The Australian Shepherd moves away, swallows and glances toward the Border Collie, who chases him with an offensive facial display, flicking his tongue. The Australian licks his nose and speeds up. The Border Collie moves up alongside the Australian, the Australian slows down and stops, and the Border Collie displays chin over and then riding up. The Australian stiffens and growls, the Border Collie arches his neck, then turns his head, lowers one foreleg, lowers his tail, closes his eyes, flicks his tongue, wags his tail, and climbs off the other dog's back with head and tail down. The Australian licks his nose and leaves the interaction.
