Bite-threatening
Complex behaviour: the dog is standing tall, with center of gravity shifted forward, head either leaning forward or held high. The dog stares directly at its opponent and bares its front teeth; may be accompanied by growling.

The male Australian Shepherd trots toward the female Golden Retriever, who reacts by growl-barking and gaping. The male dog stops in a lateral stance, standing tall, and the female threatens to bite and growls. The male exhibits courtship behaviours; the female growls and again exhibits bite-threatening. The male moves away, licking his nose.
