The black male mixed breed running in the field is stopped by the black and white mixed breed female, who exhibits bite-threatening oriented toward the dog's shoulders/withers. The dog swerves but continues to run; the female follows him, hackles raised, tail arched, exhibiting an offensive facial display. When the female catches up to the male she bites him on the neck/shoulders (a hackles bite) with an inhibited bite and growl-bark. The male reacts by lowering his head and turning it towards his opponent, then swerving to the side and stopping in a lateral stance, with hindquarters lowered; the female exhibits anal-genital olfactory exploration. When a second female intervenes, the male moves away, leaving the interaction.
