The Border Collie is a 4 month old male, while the
Groenandel is 10 years old and is spayed. The Border
Collie puppy lowers his head when the Belgian Shepherd
approaches. The adult dog stops and orients toward the
puppy, then takes a few steps toward him before lowering
her head and beginning to leave. She stops once again in
a lateral stance with a paw raised, raises her head, and
wags her tail. When she turns her head, the Border
Collie puppy hurtles toward her. She turns to face him,
head held high and tail down, then leaves
the interaction at a trot, with the puppy
crowding her for a few meters.

The two female puppies, a Malamute and a Maremmano
Abruzzese, are both 6 months old. The Malamute is
greeting the photographer when the Maremmano approaches.
When the man steps aside, the two dogs face off, with
the Maremanno Abruzzese backing away slightly and
raising her head and a front paw. The Malamute exhibits
an offensive facial display, piloerection and ears down,
turned sideways and bent back. Both dogs wag their tails
slightly. The Malamute raises a front paw and steps back
slightly, while the Maremmano exhibits an offensive
facial display. The Malamute turns slowly and with tail
down moves away to leave the
interaction. The Maremmano crowds her for a few
yards; when the Malamute turns to glance at her, she
leaves.
