Alternating behaviours as the dog wavers between avoidance and approaching. The dog's body appears to be crouching, his tail tucked between his legs under his abdomen, ears pinned back, the corners of the mouth elongated, the facial muscles shifting between tension and relaxation, eyes staring; the neck may be extended.
