Urinating
Voiding of urine. The dog may urinate as it exhibits
crouching or a prone posture, or if it is attacked.
(Kohler-Matznick, 2005)

This adolescent Berger Blanc Suisse has
been pressed down by the female Alaskan Malamute, and
has urinated. The Malamute and the male German Shepherd
mix have then approached and the Malamute is sniffing
her urine.

The female Berger Blanc Suisse runs toward the Malamute,
head down, then suddenly brakes to a stop, crouches and
flicks her tongue, whining slightly; the Malamute is
exhibiting an offensive facial display and is standing
tall. The white dog sits, ears bent sideways, and wags
her tail; she averts her gaze and then runs away. The
Malamute follows her, and the white dog slows down, then
crouches, hunching her back before stopping and lying
down, then running away again. The Berger Blanc Suisse
then approaches the male German Shepherd mix, crouching
with her ears bent back; she sits, and both the Malamute
and the mixed breed sniff her. When the male dog sniffs
her groin area, she squeals and urinates.
She moves away as the two adult dogs sniff her urine.
The Malamute approaches her from a frontal position and
standing tall, then presses her down with her forelegs.
The younger dog first lies down, then runs away.
