This male Greater Swiss Mountain Dog puppy has tail low and ears back as a female German Shepherd puppy approaches. She lowers and wags her tail, and the two dogs sniff each other. The male takes a step forward and displaces the female, and the two dogs again sniff each other, circling. The Shepherd puppy moves away with head and tail low, ears turned sideways and back. When the Mountain Dog follows her, she stops him, then wags her tail, moves away and then lies down. The male puppy approaches the Shepherd's owner. The Shepherd puppy stops and exhibits self-grooming; the Mountain Dog exhibits a rear approach, and the female puppy seeks support from her owner.
